CT Tigers Vs. Jamestown Jammers 7/29/12

Red Sox HOFer Bernie Carbo was in town this afternoon, and the Tigers card set is now out, so I decided to make the short trip down to Dodd and get some stuff done.

Bernie was there when I went in, and he was very nice. He added the American League Champions inscription without me asking:

After I got Bernie, I went in the team store to grab a team set, and Efrain Nieves was in there signing:

Pawtucket Vs. Empire State Yankees 7/28/12

What a rough day. The only thing that made this trip worth it was that I got another Mark Prior magazine done.

Apparently the PawSox flight was scheduled for the morning, so when the players got in from the airport, NOT ONE guy stopped. So that was a wasted few hours. Later, they all came back of course, so I was able to get a few guys.

The Yankees coaches were the only ones on the first bus for them, and none of them signed. The bus driver didn't leave for at least another hour and a half to get the other players, and I was already pushing the time I had to get home for work, so I had to leave. Luckily A FEW guys took cabs, but nobody I needed on cards or magazines.

Red Sox:

Mark Prior took a cab in, and he signed for everyone:

I also got Chris Carpenter again, who may be up on the Sox before the end of the year:

CT Tigers Vs. State College 7/25/12

I decided to head down to Norwich last night to get some things done for both teams. I was happy to get everything done inside, so I didn't have to wait afterwards.

Before the game, the first guy I got was starting pitcher,Clay Holmes. I was surprised that he stopped because, he was headed out to warm up at this point, and most pitchers won't do it.:

I then wanted to get sandwich round pick, Barrett Barnes, but he said that he had to sign after the game or his coach wouldn't let him play. When he game ended, he came over, and thoroughly apologized and said that he truly can't sign before the game, and that the coach is pretty serious about it. I found it pretty weird for a professional team to have regulations like this. Regardless, Barrett was very nice, and did 15 for me, I had a lot so I told him to keep what he wanted, but he just did them all no problem:

Jordan Dean was signing on the concourse, so I got him in my program:

I then saw Mike Rabelo in the dugout, so I went over to get him. He signed 9 cards for me:

My other main target for the night was Tigers prospect,Danry Vasquez. The Tigers signed this kid when he was 16. I told him he could keep what he wanted, and he said,"Thank you very much sir, but I am all set." He kept going through my book and asking if I had more, which was funny. This is why I love graphing these guys so much:

CT Tigers Vs. Lowell 7/22/12

I went down to Norwich for last night's game after work and got there in the bottom of the 4th. The game ended up going 13 innings, and I only went for Lowell post game.

My main targets were Deven Marrero and Pat Light, this year's first round picks by the Red Sox.

Deven was pretty cool, not very talkative, but he very willingly did everything I had.

I got 6 photos and 2 cards:
